First thing is when you have someone does a house inspection of any type and they they’re going to do the repair after if they find out something is wrong or something needs to be fixed, make sure to get a second opinion, especially if the repairs cost is high, just to make sure they’re not getting over. I had inspection done by septic services company on a house I’m selling right now and they said the drain field all damaged and needs to be replace with $5,000 tag price on the job, we hire another company to do another inspection just to find out there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the drain field. I will say get a second opinion on your house that needs some repairs especially major house repairs like you would have to get a second opinion if you need an open heart surgery! I hope no one needs a second opinion for either one of them.
Second thing, insurance companies who try to not pay what they actually suppose to pay homeowners in Pensacola, when hurricane Sally hit last year we had a lot of damages in Pensacola, insurance companies didn’t want to pay out a lot of money because they had to pay a lot of homeowners in Pensacola so a lot of them did a pay cut, meaning they didn’t pay enough money to homeowners or even close to what the cost of the damages they had that the hurricane left behind.
Third, when a company give you an estimate that doesn’t make sense, I had a roofing company did some work for me, they changed the roof for a house we’re repairing, 1,600 SF house for $9,100 to change the shingles, 2 months later half the size of the fist building they gave me an estimate of $12,800 to change the shingles. Now it doesn’t take mathematician to figure out I will get bamboozled if I let them do the job lol.
I just want to let you guys know what I have experienced recently with the last 2 months, maybe and just maybe someone can benefit from my experience. A smart man learn from his mistakes but a genius man learn from the mistake of others, even through there was no mistakes from me in that experience but just learn lol.
